Amber had so many amazing images from her session that it is nearly impossible to narrow them down for blogging purposes. Here are some more of my favorite images from her session which was done in our Cedar Falls, Iowa studio.

A Preview for Amber!

We had an incredible session last week with Amber. As you can see from her images, she is just beautiful! Amber, like many of our clients, chose to do boudoir pictures, not because she wanted to give them to the man in her life, but because she wanted them for herself. She had always wanted to take pictures like this, and finally found the time and opportunity to visit us. We are so honored to be part of this experience for her. Our staff had a blast with Amber as she tried on different outfits and we tried to narrow down her choices, which was not easy. She looks good in everything she puts on.

For the sake of brevity, and for Amber’s sake, since she has been waiting for her preview, I will not waste any more time with talk. I think we will have to post more images later this week because it is too hard to pick one or two of my favorites. Amber, thank you for your patience and thank you for choosing Desire Portraits for your boudoir session! Here are the first of your preview images…

Iowa’s Premier Boudoir Photographer! New website is up and running!!

I cannot tell you how excited we are around here at Desire Portraits, to be introducing our brand new website. This website and the coordinating blog and branding have been in the works for the past couple of months. There have been many people working behind the scenes to get everything “just right”. We wanted to be sure that we showed women what our business was really about, which isn’t easy to do with just images, but I am pretty certain that we accomplished it.

So, what is our business about? We want to empower women to feel their best – to feel like the sexy, beautiful, confident women that they are! This is our mission statement here at Desire Portraits. and it is really what we want to accomplish with every one of our sessions.

We call Desire Portraits, “a boutique boudior photography studio”. What does that mean? It simply means that we take boudoir photos that are more in line with what you might see in a Victoria’s Secret catalog, and less along the lines of tacky men’s magazines. That is not to say that we do not shoot some nude or semi-nude photos, but that we do it in a tastefully sexy way. Instead of exploiting women, we are all about empowering them!

We are going to be posting a lot more information and articles here on our blog – keep coming back for articles, like “What to Expect in Your Boudoir Session”, “What to Wear For Your Boudoir Session”, and “How Do I Get Ready Psychologically for My Session?”. We will have all of that information and more here. Plus, we will soon be posting pictures of our awesome closet, with the outfits that we have here at our studio, as well as pictures of my favorite thing, the shoes!!! (I couldn’t have come up with a better excuse for buying more and more sexy shoes! “But honey, they’re for the business, not for me!”)

On a final note, if you go through our website, you will notice that there may be some text pages that just say, “coming soon”. That is because we are busy writing all the information for our clients so that they can find any information they need through the website. Believe me, we have done a lot of writing and re-writing and more re-writing! If you notice anything that we missed, please let us know. We would be happy to add more information!
